My existing lock is very nice in its own right but it does jamb frequently. I was interested in adding a new deadbolt that would go with the rest of my home. When I came across nostalgic hardware my question was not whether I wanted one but rather, which deadbolt should I choose. The egg and dart is beautiful and pairs with other newer brass pieces on my door. The only thing I wish is that the door lockets came with a free shipping voucher to order more keys! I’m very happy with my lock.
I went with a more craftsman style lock set that would match my foursquare. The existing door knob is more Victorian in style. I love both. The new lock works like a charm!
